The boat is shifting in to forward and reverse kinda hard. This is my first boat and could be normal but I would think that it seems to be a little hard. How can i tell if this normal or not. Can something be adjusted to see if it gets better? The idle is a tad high after carb work. I'm am still trying to find the sweet spot. The RPM gauge is not helping as it jumps around. Having to set it by ear.

On a side note i have also notice when i go to turn the engine off it sometime sputers and continues to run for a few seconds, about five to fifteen seconds. Any ideas what would cause that?
