Out drive going up on its own

Hi all I've alpha one out drive and today it would randomly go up on its own. Only when moving very slow or in neutral. I thought maybe there was water in the trim switch. But I don't know any ideas. The. Oat is a 98 sea ray. With the 3.0l and alpha 1 drive

I would guess the wires in the throttle control are chafed and shorting the hot and up wires for the trim at that throttle position. Remove the handle of the control and and inspect the wiring that is wrapped around the handle,

Might post a picture of your control.

Is the trim pump coming on or is the drive just going up?

The pump comes on and runs the drive all the way to the limit switch when in gear and all the way up in neutral. But it's very intermittent

Start looking for shorts, like Don suggested...
