Re: Mercruiser 4 cyl carb issue
Thanks stonyloam but I bought an inexpensive one on ebay last night, this is a tool I always wanted to get anyway I've always done my own repairs on everything and should have one. This way I can either confirm it's the pump pressure or the carb. It's always better to have the facts makes finding the problem easier. I think I'll go Eric's route and remove the steel fuel line from the pump to the carb and rig up a temporary rubber gas line with a T to hook the pump to. The carb end will be the tough one it has a large fitting. My merc book says the pressure should be 3.6 lbs. I'll give it a go next weekend. Thanks for all the help guys I appreciate your input and knowledge.
