Ive got a merc 5.0 and I've been having problems with it bogging down after bot two hours of run time i pulled my coil wire off and noticed there was a tar like material in the end of my wire this normal?? Thanks n advance!

Yep, sounds like a deadie.... Had exactly the same problem on my old V6... coil leaked its guts out and overheated... Would run at low speed all day, but the minute you asked more she popped and bang like there was no tomorrow... Took me a few hours to find too.. with the coil being buried at the back of the engine :facepalm:... New coil, the engine was back to its smooth self...
