3.0 mercrusier interchange question

Hello,
I have a Campion boat with a 3.0 mercrusier alpha one. I need to replace the engine due to cracked block.
What years or models of engine will be a direct fit?

Ayuh,.... Donno,... What vintage are ya startin' with,..??

Basically, any 3.0l from the beginnin' to current production, can be adapted to run in whatever vintage ya start with...
The 2.5l marine motor is the only other easily adaptable replacement...

Ayuh,... That's current production,.... '91, 'n up, should be plug, 'n play...

I'd definitely stick with 91 and up, the earlier engines have differences that will make it spendy to adapt, flywheel, coupler, rear mount.

Ayuh,.... '91, 'n up is Better, but that's a possible to do swap...
considerin' you'd have All the pieces of both to start...
