i have a 87 3.0l merc with a overheating problem. i read threw some of the other post and i replaced the impeller,all the gaskets, and o-rings and i replaced the thermostate hoping it would be an easy fix. i was wrong. it only heats up at low rpm's and cools at higher ones. i also dont have any noises or weeping coming from the engine water pump. i am fairly new at boating, only 3 yrs. can anyone help or is this something i should take to a dealer?
