seawater pump belt adjustment

i need to replace the belts on my 1996 7.4l (sn is 0f774168)


i see how to adjust the tension on the power steering and alternator belt, but the seawater pump is different. from what i read i have to loosen the nut on the "pinion stud ?" is that right. how do i adjust the tension on this. the belt is part # 69143.

Fuel / Raw Water Pump belt 40" x 29/64"Mercruiser 69143Q
Gates 7400

Maybe I will find out when i loosen the locknut. But, How do i adjust the tension, does the pully slide up and down.
do i loosen the locknut, push the pulley down, take the old belt off, install new belt, push pulley up do get correct tension, then torques???

Loosen the nut and twist the bolt head. It's on an accentric, rotating the idler pulley off center
