I own a 2005 Regal. I went out on a 2 hour trip and suddenly I lost power on the port side, the engine sounded very muffled and very very low on power, no smoke or smell. There is a very "airy" sound come from the air intake and a ticking sound.
The mechanic has checked compression and its fine. The plugs were fowled on 7 and 8 cylinder, replaced but no improvement. It has been hooked up to the computer and nothing comes up. The 7 and 8 cylinders seem to be running rich. This boat has been maintained perfectly, always new oil, good gas, indoor winter storage in a heated area. I am frustrated as no one seems to know what is the issue. Please give any suggestions.
