Bravo I reservoir bottle

Any one ever encounter the engine mounted outdrive (Bravo I) reservoir bottle "burp" out a small amount of oil (guessing less than an oz.)? It escaped from the cap which was tight. This happened after a short hard run approx. 1 min.
Power unit is a 1999, 502MPI with Bravo I.

My BRAVO III has a reservoir bottle and it has a fill line on it. Does yours? Did you overfill the bottle?
