Carburetor needs rebuilt on my 1969 Mercruiser 120. Can't buy a kit locally and don't have time to order one, rebuild and test before this weekend. My boat came with a brand new, really old, rebuild kit; but there are no instructions in the box. Only a sheet explaining how to adjust float, choke, etc. The part # on the kit is 1397-3459 Delco Rochester Power carburetor kit.
Anybody have or can point me in the direction of a set of instructions to rebuild my carb? Or at the least give me the specs of where I should start out at on where to set the adjustment screws? If I had that info I could probable fumble my way through the rest.

If you need step by step you should send it out to a pro as there are so many little things to look for and know about to do it right and not have to take it apart several times to get it right. Like the accelerator pump spring. You need to use the stiffer one from the old one and not the weaker automotiive one.

i didn't know that. as opposed to that. i would say he should get the rebuild kit from mercruiser. it'll have the right parts in it for sure..

as to the spec. you can find them here. read the carb rebuild part sentence by sentence so yer sure ya understand what to do and get it right the first time.

i respectfully disagree. if ya have the oem parts, the factory service manual and are mechanically inclined at all. following the steps outlined in the service manual will produce a proper rebuilt carb.

imho. clean is the biggest word other than setting up to specs. clean meaning. dipped in carb. cleaner and washed off with soapy water, then compressed air used to blow out all small passages within the carb and air dry all parts.
