carb was opened up yesterday to check if it was clean. Mechanic put in new gasket and float. Today the engine would hit a wall at 3000rpm and fall to 2000 then back to 3000 and so on. A few times it cut off completely. I have twin 4.3 mercs year 2000. Serial #'s OL606199 and OL606161
