1984 Mercruiser 260 Bellows Question

I have a 1984 Cobalt with a GM 350/Mercruiser 260. I am trying to figure out which kit I need to order for bellows/g bearing replacement. I looked according to my sn but am still unsure. Any reassurance would be appreciated.

If yer gonna keep that Serial # a Secret, there ain't much any of Us can do to help ya.....

84 is around the transition period with the "R" drives, "MR" drives, 'n Alpha 1s....

Sorry about forgetting the sn. The sn on the stern drive is 5472980. I think it is a Alpha 1 Gen 1, but again I am not sure. I keep finding conflicting info. Thanks for your help.

That serial number puts the drive in the 79 range, which is a Mercruiser One drive. The 84 drives started with SN 6662855
