i have a 270 stern drive off of a 74 glastron volvo penta does anyone know or have pictures on how the shift cable is attatched to where it doesn't move on the back side of the drive? i took the cover off of the stern drive to adjust it and when i was shifting i noticed the cable moves back and forth on the back side of the drive. so i looked on the back side of the drive and the actual black cable was moving back and forth. the rod that goes into the cable moves freely and it's not hard shifting it's like there is a clip or something that should holed it to where it shouldn't move once it goes in the back side of the drive? what holds that in place to where it doesn't move? i am stumped so if anyone can help please let me know...thanks!!!
