Does anyone in the Charleston area know of a good mechanic that will do good work, wont lie to us, and wont charge us 3 arms and 2 legs?

We have the boat listed below with Volvo Penta 305 I/O. We need a new waterpump, and some belts.

Any trustworthy mechanics out there?

Re: Mechanic in Charleston

My wife and I bought our first used boat last winter and I wanted a mechanic to check it out and show me how to put a new water pump in the lower unit. I found the guy below on Craigslist. He showed up on time. Knew what he was doing. Charged $50/hour. I have a Johnson outboard, so I don't know what his experience is with Volvo units, but I know he does the repair/maintenance work for the Freedom Boat Club over in Mt. Pleasant. I called them to check his reference and they spoke highly of his work.
