I replaced my impeller today in my OMC Stringer 400 today. I took a bunch of pics of the process and thought I'd share in case anyone else would like to see:

Unfortunately once I got into it and finally got to the impeller itself, I realized it was in nearly brand new condition! It must have been done shortly before I got the boat. I had no idea how long it had been since I got the boat for free. Needless to say, I went ahead and put the new one in anyhow (including housing). That job was no fun at all.
Found out that I need to replace the swivel bearing seals though. Also learned there is a Zerks fitting to grease the swivel bearing which I didn't know about before! (Always wondered what the little hole behind the swivel point in the exhaust housing was for!)
Anyhow, enjoy!
