Spark plugs for 1999 Mercruiser 4.3

I have a 1999 Trophy equipped with a 4.3l, 190hp carb motor.I went to NAPA for new plugs. they sold me their #41-993 platinum plugs. Are these the right plugs for this engine? I just want a second opinion. Thanks

Nope, those are for the much newer 4.3 MPI engines. You should get either the AC - MR43LTS, or the NGK - BPR6EFS

Yeah Chris, your's uses them. Spendy little devils aren't they.
Obiously his NAPA parts guy works on commision. He makes a lot more, and the plugs will work in the engine. Just not necessary or cost effective at all.

Think those are spendy... Look at the plugs for the newer 200+HP optipops. Those will set you back more than a few dimes

A set of those will set you back $120!!! Ouch!!!!
