1973 Mercruiser 888 WOT

I just bought a 1973 Cruisers Mackinac with the 188hp Mercruiser. The engine is a Ford 302. I believe the drive is a Mercruiser 1, right? What is the maximum WOT rpm supposed to be. Also, how much oil does this engine take, and does it use the 25W-40 that my 1988 3.0 uses or something else. Thanks for the help. This is my first post.

If you look on the rocker covers, there might be a sticker that tells you everything you are asking for should be on there. I just found mine and it tells everything.
