Has anyone ever used this?

I need to remove a seized bolt in my exhaust flange. Already broke off one, and this one has a rounded off head...

I watched Loctite's little infomercial on this on YouTube, and it looks pretty impressive, but the traditional way is to use heat...

Comments?

Would've been nice to post the link, however it would seem that heat would be easier to apply?

Re: Loctite Freeze & Release

I mis-understood your original post. I thought that you were talking about loosing a bolt/nut that had be 'locktighted' on.

I would certainly give that a try. Probably not cheap though. Also notice that they are doing a nut, not a stud or bolt whose stuck threads are not accessable.

Ayuh,.... You just can't Beat a set of Blue-Tip Wrenches for stuff like that....

I carry Ox/ Ac torches on my truck,...
Just tonite I pulled a severely rusted/ corroded broken stud from a tarp motor housing...
About an inch of a 5/16" broken bolt into an aluminum housing,.. 3/4" In the housing...
Just heat the stud up, HOT,... and dump Water on it....
It twisted out with a pair of pliers... Not even Vice-grips at that...;)
