7.4L Mercruiser oil and (filter) change

My first post. Did some searching re; title but was unable to find the info.

The engines are serial numbers B817223 and B817410.
the filters are remote mounted and i'm sure I can cross reference them when I get to the boat. The boat is a 1988 Sea Ray 34'. Would like to get recommendations, for oil viscosity and filter brand s and part numbers.

Would also be interested in info. for the Westerbeke generator, serial number
1552162-C707.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard....

For Filter Brands,... Wix is about the Best,+ Napa filters are rebadged Wix filters....
They'll cross the #s for you....

For the Oil,..??..??..??
Up in the "Adults Only" sticky at the top of the forum, there's a link to All the mercruiser factory Manuals...
Download the 1 for your motor,+ See what Mercruiser recommends...

Otherwise,... Oil recommendations usually turn into a Slugfest, due to the Many Opinions about it....

I use Mobil 1, 15W-50 in My motors....
And,..
In Reality,...
Any oil that can be bought off the shelf at Wallyworld will run in your motors,.. Just Fine....

The link works, but it's 485 MB in size, it's huge, and going to take a longtime to download even with a cable connection.
