72 Merc 302 with a carb. I figure about 3000.00 to change to a fuel injection set-up. My question is, is it worth it and about how much would I save on gas?

Just so you know, there is no way I could do the conversion myself so I would have to pay. If my estimate is off please advise.

No to both.
From your post you finally got it running good, go out and ENJOY it.

Ditto - you will never recoup the cost, not even close.

I did, I'm preparing to move in the next month(budget cuts have forced the Coast Guard to shut-down the housing where we live). So now I have to focus most of my energy on organizing our stuff. Hopefully soon though.

1. No
2. Not enough to ever make it close to being worth it.

Thanks, you saved me money.
