Ok, UPDATE!!! I rebuilt the carb, installed new distributor cap,rotor, plugs. and plug wires. Problem sill exists. Could it be the points? It's the 2bbl.

I did see the Pump spring guid, but i did not take it off and replace the ball.

If you didn't take it apart, how did you soak it in carb cleaner, clean the passages, or blow air thru all the passages? Which is all part of the carb rebuild process.

i did all of the above, i just didn't take that T retainer off and replace the spring and ball. TBH at that time i didn't know what it was. but the rest was rebuilt, and if need be i will take it back apart and install the new spring and ball.
