Oil Filter for Mercruiser 3.0 litre

[Me and My Capri]

I've got a 1990 Capri and am looking for a reasonably priced oil filter for it. I had my local autoparts stroe cross it and the filter they recommended cost me $25. Do you guys recommend using a standard automotive filter or the $$$ marine recommendation???

This is from a thread I saved.... I use the AC Delco. It is highly rated for flow, filter media, etc.

the filter thread is 13/16 x 16 NPT.
