Re: Dennis Moore's Manifolds

Ayuh,.......
Just posted My Opinion in a thread here somewhere.......

They seem to be a reasonably quality casting,....
The Fit,+ Finish were Good,.....

I preassembled them with the supplied Gaskets,+ Painted 'em.....
After a season,+ 1/2,.......

No Complaints at All.......

They only come with a base coat. I painted my OSCO's too. I used the hi-temp GM Blue from the auto store on all of my tin and the manifolds.

Re: Dennis Moore's Manifolds

I hadn't appreciated how pretty my black engine was until I saw that!! I love red or black engines, but apparently Yellow isn't one of my preffered colours!!
Looks like a tidy install.. Don't mean to be rude, but yuch, I hope that yellow looks better on a bulldozer!! Sorry Bondo.

Did you install a remote oil filter? It looks to be in a comletely different position (front right of engine) to my 4.3L V6 mercruiser engine (rear left of engine)? Are you running an electric fuel pump as the oil filter location looks like it would prevent a mechanical fuel pump?

Ayuh,...........

That's the Fuel Filter,....
The Electric Fuelpump is mounted to the front of the Head, just above the Filter........

I happened to be painting Dozers,+ whatnot at the time I put that 1 together......
My next build will be Mack Bulldog Gold...................................;)

Re: Dennis Moore's Manifolds

I understand that GLM is making his manifolds. I am running a couple of aluminum ones with IMCO stainless risers on my SBC 400 Powered fishin' boat. I really cannot tell if they helped but they weigh a lot less. I am turning a 14x23 prop at 60mph on a heavy hull and don't want to blow my Alpha apart.

Bond-O, I love the porta-pot in the first pic

thrasher, all of the later 4.3's run electric fuel pumps, GM removed the fuel pump boss, so there is no where to put a mechanical one.
