Any body have any idea how to get the cotter pin back through the lower swivel pin on a Bravo outdrive? I had to replace the gimbal ring, i just bent the old cotter pin up as I removed it. I've tried turning everything every which way to find some way to get the new one in but no way to get to it. The cotter pin is about 3 inches long and here is a half in gap in front of the hole it goes through!

Thanks,

Keith

With luck, you just yanked the old one out the same way and can see how to bend the new one to fit it in. It's a terrible design eh? In my opinion, it has to bent into a C shape and slowly pushed in. Maybe someone else has a better idea.
