make sure you get it for the right application. what is shown is a damper for a 2-piece RMS crank (neutral balanced)

are you sure it came off a 1-pc RMS block, since those are NOT neutral balanced.

most 86-1995 dampers have about 3 or 4 extra holes drilled on the one side to get the light imbalance

no, keyway isnt supposed to line up with TDC mark. there should be about 10 degrees off.

either way, parts of your rubber are missing, spend the $33 for a new damper. make sure you match the OD

if you are building a stroker, you need a different damper anyway

Definitely off a 1PCRMS crank, 6.75" OD.
Will get a new one.
Are all 6.75 SBC dampers the same?

all 6.75" SBC stock dampers for the 1-piece RMS crank are interchangeable. some are SFI rated, some are stainless, some are fluid dampers.

in your case, a generic one would be fine.

All chev smallblock dampers are neutral balance exept the 400 cid . The change from the 2 piece rear main to the one piece had nothing to do with the damper. the change was in the back end of the crank where the counterweight was moved from the crank to the flywheel. The keyway does not line up exactly with the timing mark, just a little off,
