Finding parts for an 888

I have a 1977 ranger with an 888 302 mercruiser. I am trying to find parts but when I enter my serial #, my search comes up empty. Any suggestions?

What part(s) are you looking for?

Launch the Mercruiser parts catalog from www.mercurymarine.com and instead of entering the serial number, on the left side of the screen, expand the "Sterndrive" folder and then the "Engines - Gas" or "Drives" folder. You'll find the 5.0 Ford (302) and the 888 drive and you can open the parts catalog. Most times, the part numbers have been superseded so you'll need to run the part numbers by a dealer.

I too have a 1977 888. I have been able to find some parts and substituted others. What parts are you after.
