CANT GET shift cable back into boat! Stuck..

Ok no I have an issue with the shift cable ( the while cable ) getting stuck just 6 inches in ? It just hits a wall and stops?

It's a bayliner 205 v8 with power steering .. seems like it's getting stuck behind the power steering acuator ?

Any tips or tricks ?

Are you referring to the inner shift cable or the core (outer)?

The whole thing I put both together and ran it through but just hits a wall and stops.. I tried just pushing the core through but same thing

Never mind it finally made a right turn and ITS IN!! hopefully the tiny bellows made it through the crazy ordeal ! Lol
