Alpha 1 gen 2 help is bearing too lose?

I removed the water pump down to the carrier bearing and the bearing seems too lose or that it has too much play. Before I take the drive into a shop can I get some opinions on this bearing? I made a video of it and uploaded to YouTube. See https://youtu.be/f2_yTzdKz64

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... When apart, ya, that bearin' is very loose,....

Once assembled, it's fine,....

The gears are cut in such a way as to force the driveshaft upwards setting the pinion height.
perfectly normal

You guys are making me feel a lot better. I feared I was going to have to have the entire lower unit re-built. I will proceed to put it back together with all new seals. Thanks.

I remember mine was definitely looser than I thought it should have been, but once all back together never had any issues.

To correctly set the gears the tool is spring loaded and forces the driveshaft upward. Or turn the drive upside down to set the backlash
