Ripped off on shift cable?

I recently took my boat in to the shop to diagnose. I authorized a shift cable repair which ended up costing like 300 buks in parts and labor. MY throttle assembly is acting up, and I noticed when apart that the shift cables attached to it aren't new. Are there more shift cables somewhere?

Yes lower shift cable from drive to shift iterupt plate. Shift cable from shift control and throttle cable from control.

Agree, no rip off there different cables

99.9% of the time if someone needs a shift cable replaced it will be the lower one that goes from the transom assembly to the drive.
