First post, here it goes.
Bought a 1995 Sanger w/ a MerCruiser 5.7 direct drive. When I put the boat in the water the motor idles great and temp is steady. In neutral I am able to rev the motor up to 3,000 rpm without any hesitation or bogging. When I put the motor in drive and throttle up, the maximum rpm I can reach is around 1,500 even with throttle wide open just like in neutral. Is this a problem with linkage between the carb and direct drive? Or could it be anything else? Like I said this is my first post so let me know what is needed to better access the situation
Thanks
