Shift cable routing?

I am getting ready to reinstall my 4.3's Alpha 1 Gen 2....... I had a question regarding the routing of the shifter cables.....
I am not sure if they go between the engine and transom assembly, or around the back of the y-pipe.... I don't remember the routing when
I removed them.... Also if anyone has a pic of the rear for battery and ground cable routing or knows exactly how to run them that would be awesome....

Batt cable routing is boat specific and dependent on battery mounting location. Just keep it neat and where they can't rub through.

Ayuh,.... Battery (+) goes to the starter's solenoid,...

Battery (-) goes to an extended stud, usually on a starboard side flywheel cover bolt/ stud,....
