What type of grease fitting is this on my universal joint?

I asked this question in another forum of mine but I figured this would be a lot more to the point with more success. I just replaced my gimbal bearing and I would like to lube my universal joints. The grease fitting looks like this

We don't know what year you have but the newer ones aren't greaseble from the factory.

I believe my engine is a 94 4.3L v6. This is on an 18' crownline, '95 model. I am new to boating and using youtube and google to get me through this, and of course, you guys.
I will rent a ball joint press or ujoint press if I need to, but I would prefer grease if possible

'94 would have been greaseble. Maybe someone put in a rebuilt unit.
That would be a screw in plug with a breakaway head. You may be able to remove it with vicegrips and install a grease fitting. You could try tapping it around with a hammer and chisel to get it started.

With the pic that close, it looks like the plastic that is used to lock in the caps into the yoke

Yeah, I kinda thought the same thing, looks like a cap. Are you sure the fitting is not under that.

I tried to pry it with a screw driver ad nothing. There is definitely no plastic. Then I used small channel locks to try to twist it out, and nothing

I found a guy who will do them for $100 if I buy the part. Is there a local place like autozone or dicks that would have a decent bearing?

Auto parts stores would more than likely have a substitute, but get the old joint out and take with you for matching it up. Also make sure the new one is greaseable.

In the Adults Only section is a post by Fishermark that lists u-jiont crossover part numbers:

SPICER# 5-1306X
ROCKFORD# K1306
DETROIT# 7260
NEAPCO# 1-6300 / 1-6301
PRECISION (MOOG)# 315G
TRW (FEDERAL MOGUL)# 20030 / 20030P

I still can't believe most people won't look in the Adults Only reference section......

I never checked it because I assumed it was not safe for work.
Guys I cannot find a video on how to remove the ujoint assembly. I took the top plate off and I see a nut which may be a retaining nut, but that's where I am stuck. I dont have a took to take that off or torque it back on
