I am building a Mark IV 454 (496 stroker) engine to replace my 1993 7.4L which is a Gen V. This is the new bbc marine oil pan I bought which indicates a direct replacement for Mercruiser part no. 93477. What dipstick tube/stick do I use for this? The oil pan also has 3/8" NPT ports with plugs on both sides of the pan as well. Not sure what these are for? I'm looking for the replacement part number for this dipstick assembly and where I can get one? Thanks in advance!

the mark IV motors have a completely different oil pan than the Gen V / Gen VI / Gen VII motors

Nautinights, why not build up the gen V as a stroker vs the Mark IV?

however if your set on the mark IV, why not get the cast 47552 pan? they are on evilbay and cl all the time for about $100

Thanks AllDodge, that's what I was looking for. It appears you pulled that from a Gen V engine/oil pan diagram. Maybe the dipstick tube and dipstick from my original Gen V will fit in this Mark IV pan because it appears to have the same connection point requiring an O-ring.
