Hi all. I just bought a 1997 Reinell and oil pressure guage isn't working. I am not sure where to start but fairly certain its nota actual pressure issue. Runs awesome and warmed up to operating temp no issue. Where do I start? Thanks!!!

Start by checking the wiring to the sender, which will be on the lower port side of the engine block. You can also check the wiring at the gauge and see if you ground the sender wire does the needle move.

then install a mechanical gauge and verify you have oil pressure

The gauge sender wire is a Light Blue wire and goes to a sender which looks like the one in this link

Find the sender, remove the wire then turn ignition ON and ground the wire. When the wire is grounded your gauge should peg to max pressure. If it does peg high, check for 12V on the purple wire at the gauge with key ON. Check for a ground on the gauge. If you have 12V and a ground on the gauge, find the Light Blue wire also on the gauge and ground it. If 12V is present and gauge does not peg then the gauge is bad
