Water pump gasket is different than old one

My new water pump kit has exact same wear plate and top gasket but the bottom gasket is just an outline of the wear plate and made of metal and the old one is like a paper material. This is the kit the dealer gave me for my serial number. Some reason I can't post a pic tonight. I appreciate any help guys.

Leaving in one week if boat is fixed or not and I'm stressing!!!

Have you tried to verify the part number of your gasket or kit by looking it up online here on iBoats, based on your year, outdrive and serial number?

So I went back to dealer this morning and apparently there is a sheet of paper called "instructions" that wasn't included in my package. Lol long story short the oem kit comes with the bottom metal gasket now and shows pictures of old gasket it replaces on instruction paper if you're lucky to get one!
