3.0 l mercruiser (1989) DDIS conversion

Hello everyone. So I finally got my "new" boat to turn over with the spark plugs in, and I am not getting any spark. And I have pinpointed the problem to my amplifier, the motion sensor is still good. Is there a way to convert to an EST ignition system while using the current motion sensor, or no? Also, will I need a new wiring harness for the EST?

There are three wires connecting to the DDIS and the same wires connect to the EST. Just need to splice those into the EST distributer and coil.
Purple - Ignition power
Gray - Tachometer
White/Green - Shift Interrupter
