I was changing my water pump impeller after removing the lower unit. I had watched YouTube clips on changing impellers before I started since I do not have a service manual.
First I removed the lower unit, and as I was changing the impeller, I noticed an oil leak right under the engine where the lower unit drive shaft enters it.
I quickly changed the impeller and reinstalled the lower unit and the leak stopped.
Is this normal when removing lower unit on 115 efi 4 strokes?
