Alpha 1 Gen 2 Shift cable install

I am going to do all of my bellows on my outdrive when it warms up some. I am going to replace the shift cable while I am doing it. My question is - Do I replace just the cable or do I replace the outer casing and cable? thanks

Ayuh,.... The replacement cable, Includes both the inner, 'n outer pieces,.....

The inner might possibly stretch,...

The outer most definitely Wears,...

It's a possibility your new cable is the newer teflon coated one which won't fit in your older outer case. So, yes, replace the whole thing....inner and outer.
