MOTOR WILL NOT START??

I have an 87 Sea Ray with a 350 onboard mercruiser motor. It has been sitting for at least 6 months that I know of. At first the engine would not turn over...But I fixed that as the starter was no good.

Now the motor will crank over, but will not start.... Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Best I got is to echo Redneck - start with checking for spark and fuel and see where that leads you.

You may get better results if you ask in the Mercruiser section or have a mod move your question/thread there.

What have you done to this point?
Are you getting spark and fuel ?

Also check that the kill switch safety lanyard is in the run position. And be sure the shift is in neutral with the stick moved to the throttle only mode.
