Know nothing about boats, my houseboat has the inboard mercruiser 140 and I could use some help to see if I can directly jump the trim and get the prop raised. Water lever has gone down further than anyone has ever seen here and my boats half out of water! currently prop is still off bottom, but not sure for how much longer. One pictures shows the boat a month ago, another today and how much it's currently beached. I took some pictures of the wiring, there are 4 wires together, 2 green and 2 Red unhooked, also some bigger wires on other side going to watch looks to be a contact switch... Plus a round thing with hole in it above my starter. Anyone have an idea what I can jump directly from the battery to try lift prop?

I am going to the obvious, why not use the trim/tilt switch on the dash?

doesn't work. I dont know if those 4 wires (2 red and 2 green) are for the trim, but they are not hooked up. I was hoping someone might recognize the setup from the pictures and help point me in the right direction to a manual or? Right now I would just like to find out what I could jump to see if the trim works at all or figure out a way to get the stern drive raised manually if possible.

If you can't get the pump to work, you can always remove the nuts that hold the rams on and raise the outdrive above the bottom of the hull. I hope the bellows are in good shape.

Thanks! that's the information I was looking for.

Boats 70's something. no numbers to tell really but from looking around best guess is 72. The engine was replaced 3 years ago by previous owner. The boat has also been completely gutted and then rebuilt inside, all new wiring, plumbing etc.. this stuff in the rear is about the lasts of the original wiring... so going to be a fun summer of tracing everything and labeling.
