Mercruiser Carb Paint (Rebuilding)

What paint can I use on the carb (external)?

I'm rebuilding my carb and figured I may as well paint it (has a few chips hear and there).

Can I use the same mercury spray paint I would use on the outdrive/sterndrive?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... I use the same paint, Rustoleum industrial enamel black gloss,....

The official color is phantom black. The PPG paint code is Ditzler 9300. Which is high gloss black.

As Bondo said, rattle can gloss black. I use plastikote engine enamel myself
