I had the same thing happen to me last year. I took my pick hand tool, stuck it in the hole and started turning it lefty loosy until it caught on where the thread had broke off and it threaded right out!

Thx guys! my question is right now if i need to order special starter bolts or i can use the regular ones(i bought regular ones)?

You need special "starter" bolts, they are knurled to fit tightly in the block. Though, it's been a week and hope you have them by now.

One question, does your starter have the bracket, to support the end of the starter? For some odd reason, 3.0L engines use the bracket where other engines don't, and if you broke a starter bolt, I would make sure the end bracket is installed. If it's missing, you may be able to cobble one up, I made one from a section of aluminum angle.

You used this once or twice and the bolts unscrewed, are you sure you didn't mess up the threads or something?

As for the brace, here is one for a 1987 305/350, but what motor do you have? P/N 12404 NLA but google it

For them to back out that quick there is something else going on. Suggest using Blue Loctite

In this case a serial number would be best but here is two

P/N 863212 for S/N 1A072812 and up

P/N 807213A1 S/N 0L010042 thru 0L096999

Both will probably work but have a look

When you put those bolts in make sure you actually torque them down with a torque wrench.
