You've run it, the filter is full, there should be a fat 4 quarts in the base,.....
^+1.... And as crazy as it may sound, 5 quarts shows pretty high on the stick some times. The boat (actually the engine) is level sitting on the trailer? Engine Oil Crankcase & Gear Lube Capacity
Is the boat sitting in the water? I've seen them read wrong on the trailer, as the bow is either to high, or to low. You can crank the jack to level the water line, but I prefer to have them floating naturally.
