Re: Flushing my Lehr 5hp motor

If you want to flush it with a hose, the Lehr accepts a Yamaha flushing attachment. I use a trash can.

Thanks a bunch
I will have to order that.
So far the motor has been great.
I run it on a 11 foot Zodiac
I don't no if it's because I purchased the motor new or the idle is a touch too high but
When I put the motor in gear. It is noticeably faster than the old gas motor it replaced
I'm not complaining. It's just something I noticed

I find about half of the new ones I start idle a little high. It's very easy to adjust.
I should really get a tachometer if I'm going to keep playing with these things.

This is a photo of my 2.5 getting a good trash can flush.

I almost brought a 2.5 to use as a kicker/backup motor for my 5 hp
I still have not ruled it out.
It's half the price of the Torqeedo
