60HP Evinrude 3 cyl with power surge

I have a 1990 60HP 3 cyl that ran fine until this last week. Suddenly when I get going it is bogged down on performance even on full throttle. suddenly it will jump up and run perfectly. Later in the run it runs great even after I shut it off and restart. The bogged down nature is only for a few moments and then it just jumps up to full speed. Carbs were cleaned and adjusted just a few weeks ago.

Fuel sample, then spark check while engine hot at 7/16" gap. Compression check. If you find weak spark on one cylinder CDI has a free trouble shooting gudie.

When it bogs hit the primer for a quick bump. If it picks back up you probably need to go through the carbs again. High speed jet might have junk in it. Sounds like it might have trouble going from the slow speed jet to the high.

Thanks for your input. I have two filters on the fuel and they are perfectly clean but I will give it a try next weeks when I get a chance to put her in the water.
