Hi,
Latest project is a 1979 Evinrude 35HP long shaft. Model 35903A, serial number E002229. Motor has not been run in years and the carb is clogged with peanut-butter-thick goo. It is a manual start, and all the diagrams of the carb that I can find appear to show an electric choke. For purposes of cleaning and rebuilding the carb, can I just ignore that part? The bowl in all the on-line diagrams is different because it has a bracket molded in to mount the electric choke, and appears to have a different main jet assembly than the carb I'm looking at. Will a basic carb kit fit both the electric and manual start motors?
Thanks,
Lewis
