1973 135 evinrude-- power tilt and trim

my power tilt and trim motor has quit working. Coming from the relays I have power but motor is in down position.How do you raise it up to get to the ptt motor.how do you remove it to get it repaired or replaced.also can you recommend someone to work on them.I would aperciate any advice i can get. Thank you in advance KC

I ma not familiar with those older trim systems. but all the ones I have seen have a vent screw that you can loosen in order to raise or lower your motor when the tilt motor goes out. usually a large flat headed screw into the side of the pump. most that I have seen are on the right side of the motor looking from the rear. and there is a hole through the transom mount bracket to access it.
