200 johnson ocean runner 1996 ?

ok put the boat in this morning and it started right up and seamed to run fine at low speed but when I went to get up on plane motor would bogg and seamed ton lack power
its a 1996 j200txedr ran fine last year

this year I changed the plugs and gaped them
new inline fuel filter (and yes its in the right way)
carbs where rebuilt in 2013

any clues

im going back later and will check fuel water separator
might put old plugs back in and fuel filter
boat started and ran fine on land with old parts

just because the carbs were rebuilt in 2013 does not mean that they may not be the problem. Follow the instructions in my sig below, compression test, spark test, timing check, then clean your carbs, this ethanol fuel is bad news.

Shift interrupter may be stuck only letting it run on one bank.....

good thought there Faz, you can test that by unplugging the shift interupter, it is located by your shifter linkage.

well just was out for a test run and it kinda does the same thing but now @ about 3k it sounds like its breaking up and shakes a little it does not sound like its bogging going to have to call a mechanic to check/fix it I hope
