Just bought an old duo dv170.
It came with a great running Evinrude speedifour but I need an Impeller but cannot order one until I know my model Number.
was told its an 85 horse but not very confident the guy I purchased from really knew
Any help would be awesome, thanks

Look on the stern brackets or else on the front of the motor underneath the front on the bracket.

Evinrude used the Speedifour name for many years. If it is a V-4, and the exhaust does NOT exit the motor through the propeller, the impeller is 18-3005. If not, we need a better description or pictures, or something.

Speedifour was the larger V-4 ---the sportfour was the smaller V-4-----------Speedifour was 85 hp in 1968 and sportfour was 65 hp in 68.--------Covers may interchange and model # is your best identification.

All clues lead me to believe its the 1968 85 hp.
Boat is a 68 Duo and guess seller may have been told by original owner what horsepower it was.
And for size, its quite a beast.
Thanks for all the tips

Motor looks large / cumbersome but is really is not that heavy.---------The beauty is that it takes one latch to remove the cover.-------Then everything is easy to get at for maintenance.------------Far easier and lighter than some of the motors that are crammed into compact covers and nearly impossible to work on.

With that magneto it's got for ignition it's real easy to work on.
