wiring harness question for 1998 johnson ocean pro 225 HP

I'm in the process of repowering my 21' Wellcraft Sportsman with a used 98 Johnson Ocean Pro 225 HP. I have , I think a simple question as I have almost everything hooked up except two connections.

The wiring harness that goes to the helm and the gauges has 2 sets of wires.
1. Black, Purple & Grey.........I think this goes to the Tachometer, black to ground, Purple to Power and Grey for the Signal.
2. Black, Purple & White/Red Stripe..........Where do these connect?

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure that's a white with a red stripe ??

I also have always wondered what that second set is for. I wonder if its for a dual helm set up or for if you are mounting twin engines. They are unhooked under the dash on many of the boats ive been into.

Check the wire color of the trim sender inside the transom bracket. My '98 Johnny 150 had the trim gauge wiring as well as the Tach wiring, pulled to the dash. BTW - are you using the System Check Tachometer?
